Most Linux distributions include email servers, SQL database servers, proxy servers, routing services and many other packages which you may have to buy separately if you use a Windows-based server.  The greatest threat to the market share of Microsoft's Windows Server operating system is Linux.  Linux market share is growing at a much faster pace than is Windows Server.

Linux is a network operating system that can appear to other computers as a Linux machine, a Windows Server or even a Netware Server running bindery services.  I have installed several Linux servers and in my experience, all have proven to be much more stable than any Windows server.

And in most cases, the Linux operating system can be downloaded for free.  Legally.  

Even if you don't use my services, you owe it to your business to check into Linux.  Not only is Linux one of best network operating systems at any price, it is also an excellent desktop system, with Microsoft Office compatible word processors, spreadsheet programs, presentation software, etc.
